Our Mission
The mission of Simple Synergy Consulting is to work with nonprofits and small businesses to implement their ideas utilizing our resources, and working together to develop and implement a sustainable growth strategy.
President and CEO, Megan Shellman-Rickard, M.S.
Ms. Shellman-Rickard founded Simple Synergy Consulting, LLC (SSC) in 2009 as a response to the various crises of the era and the accompanying needs created by organizational restructuring. The straightforward concept of SSC is to provide smaller businesses and organizations with outsourced consultative services at the management and executive level without the addition of payroll and HR concerns.

Megan Shellman-Rickard Expanded Biography
Megan Shellman-Rickard is the Founder and President of Simple Synergy Consulting, LLC. She offers concierge business consulting services to nonprofits, small businesses, and entrepreneurs. Ms. Shellman-Rickard works with her clients to discover solutions that enable them to grow sustainably, dynamically, and strategically.
Ms. Shellman-Rickard earned a Master's of Science, organizational leadership major, from Colorado State University and a Bachelor's of Arts, communication major, from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Megan has more than 25 years of experience in a wide variety of disciplines. She brings her former experience in the entertainment industry, strategic and green event planning, marketing, retail sales, publication and book production, nonprofit leadership, business development and operations management to bear as the owner of her own company. Megan is an accomplished change agent with a skill for connecting people in order to achieve goals and overcome challenges.
Volunteering can allow you to gain experience in roles that might not otherwise be accessible while giving back to your community. Ms. Shellman-Rickard finds that volunteering in leadership positions can help expand your network, viewpoints, and skills. She is the President of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs (NFBPWC) in the United States, an affiliate of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW International). The mission of NFBPWC is to develop the professional, business and leadership potential of women at all levels. The organization advocates for equal participation of women and men in power and decision-making roles.
Megan Shellman-Rickard lives in Southern Colorado with a packed household: husband, two children, two cats, two large dogs, many houseplants, and an organic vegetable garden. She was born and raised in Southwest and has found a home in almost every corner of Colorado, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, France, and Sanborn Western Camps.
Megan grew up enjoying music festivals, hiking, camping, swimming, skiing, and other outdoor sports. Often you will find Megan, her family, and both dogs enjoying the many trails and activities in Colorado. A passionate environmentalist, she enjoys spending as much time as possible tending the Shellman family’s regenerative agriculture ranch, Magpie Acres. Megan’s love for life and its boundless opportunities allows her to find inspiration in both the minute and larger things in life. “Live, Laugh, Love” is a motto that helps define her day-to-day adventures.
